When you have PCOS.. you are more susceptible to more diseases. The moment I learned about my PCOS I immediately changed my lifestyle. I know that it might be too late now.. But I still wanted to try and check if I can at least undo it...(crazy thinking I know...)
I do not eat fish unless it's cream dory. I started eating fish after my PCOS diagnosis. I want to complete the nutrients that my body need. No use being picky now. I wanted to cure my acne so bad. I immediately tried taking BCP( Diane 35). It was a very long wait. I need to be patient. I think it was about the fourth month of taking it when I saw some results. My skin was less oily and my acne was more or else gone. I don't think BCP's the only thing that helped me. I started chewing my food slowly and trying to be stress-free. I started creating fruit smoothies and eating more meat. YES MORE MEAT. FISH MEAT. I rarely eat pork meat too. I like green and leafy vegetables more. I also refrain from anything processed and anything frozen. Have I mentioned my allergy to chicken too? I also stopped eating my favorite food, chicken, so that I can avoid having facial rashes and possible acne.
My food plan was like this:
>Eat brown rice during the morning and whole wheat bread during the afternoon and light food during the evening.
>Eat as much fruit and leafy vegetables.
>Eat fish meat thrice a week.
>Eat pork meat twice a week.
>Never or at least try not to eat anything sweet unless it's fruit. ( Bye bye to my favorite chocolate :( )
My sleeping habit is still the same. I still sleep late at night but I try my best to sleep by 10 pm. Your body needs to rest by this time.
I also started taking vitamins. I have capsules for B complex, fish oil too ( I stopped taking it for awhile though), Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Vitamin C.
I learned that I brought this to myself. I was not careful of my body and it wanted revenge. I will make sure not to do the same mistakes again. Take care of your body. You only have one. Don't take it for granted.
